The disappearance of forests and construction of houses in these remote areas have turned the bear in both victim and predator; he wanders fearlessly on the streets to find something to eat: he even enter into houses. The law requires the Romanians to keep these animals, which creates an overpopulation, hence the change of behavior of the bear. Nowadays, people are forced to find ways to protect themselves against this invasion, sometimes very aggressive, in their daily lives.
